       GRAFITTI

Argentina has a better and more positive impact as it is a well-known practice. As the most cosmopolitan city in Latin America, Buenos Aires has an elevated feeling of artistic nature, meaning that all that is considered vandalism in the majority of places in the world, in Argentina is a major form of demonstrating a general artistic expresion. I hope Argentina can be an example to the world in opening our minds to unconventional forms of art. Grafitti has a big impact in society. There are so many countries where the meaning of the ¨GRAFITTI¨ is rude and cause so many impact in the people. For example, the grafitti in Colombia is considerate like an act of vandalism, an act of rebellion, an act of people ¨ilegal¨ and wrong people. This acts are considerate vandalism because the people in Colombia think that when you have an act of art or showing to the city your talent is a big problem and they have to pay for that crime.

DiscriminACCION IN COLOMBIA MY OPINION...

RACISM.

These videos clearly show how far we have come when it comes to political issues like the Racism against african-colombian people, the director is trying to educate the Colombian people about how these people have a lower quality of life and chances to succeed because of the areas where they are located and the lack of resources to achieve their goals.

I honestly think that the way our wealth is distributed is not right nor fair, unfortunately, we live in a country where few people have a lot and a big bunch of others have nothing, what we need is a change of mindset and a better government so these people who live in inhuman conditions can have an education and a chance to succeed in life.

Bangkok´s 'Mexican' Gangsters. My Opinion.

After reading the textbook segment about "Cultural Appropriation" and watching the video about Bangkok's "Mexican" gangsters I found a perfect example of the case the textbook showed. These "Mexican" gangsters are a subculture, as they have certain traits that differentiate them from other social groups. Not only do they feel that way, but society (more specifically the gangster's families) sees them differently as Mexican styles in Bangkok are not a common scene.

Also, it's important to note that these gangs have adopted this Mexican style in part due to commercial reasons. That is, people adopting styles because they are cool. Or as the textbook says, these styles may be adopted due to "mass culture for commercial purposes".

About Me...

My name is Maria Cristina Atehortua, i know is a very complicated last name jajaj lol. I´m 22 years old. I was born here in Barranquilla, Colombia.

One of my favorite hobbies is to travel with my family, friends and boyfriend. In the future I would like to travel much more and get to know every corner of the world, learning the culture of every country. Also, I like to spend my free time with my friends and family or just eating candies, which I love, or regular food. When I am in my house all by myself, I employ that time to watch  movies or TV shows.

As for my biggest dreams would be: travel to London, and create my own family.

I have to say that my grandparents are awesome, the sweetest people in the world, I love how my grandfather love and enjoy the Carnaval de Barranquilla, which is the worlds second biggest carnival. My grandmother, for the other hand, loves to play cards with her friends the weekends.

My Lovely Mother

My mother, who is the motor of my life, is the most happiest woman in the world with a lot of passion on what she does.  And for my sister all I have to say is that she is the most amazing, fun and emotive person that I know.
